The Xmas Party for 28 children from the Junior Rosa Choir held at Wynberg Park on Saturday 12 December was a huge success.
The children played in the park, had snacks, a lovely lunch and received Xmas gifts. Their drawstring bags were packed full of toiletries (soap & toothpaste & spray); school stationery for next year, soccer balls & manicure sets & lots of luxuries for the festive season. The girls were also given pads received from CA of the Period Project SA.
A thorough health protocol system was in place for the children, the seven adult supervisors and the transporters. Each one’s temperature was checked, masked were worn (most of the time) and there was sanitising and social distancing.
Our sincere thanks to all who donated to this event, without your generous donations this party would not have been possible.
A massive shoutout to Aziza and Shireen for the way they organised this event, as well as to everyone who assisted on the day and in raising donations.
We couldn’t have done it without you and we are extremely grateful. It has been a very tough year with no practices, to see the smiles on our Junior’s faces was extra special.
