Dear friends in the media,
The CCC, founded in 2007, is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year as well as the 10th anniversary of the Rosa choir, probably the best-known of the CCCs many projects.
Through arts and culture, the CCC unites people and communities and promotes personal and community development. The CCC organizes community cultural events, and concerts, environmental programmes, music lessons and professional recordings and has an adult and junior choir – with a combined membership of 75 singers. The CCC has also been involved with successful theatre productions, the production of a poetry book and a performance at the Paris Autumn Festival.
On Saturday 19 March, from 5pm to 7pm, we will launch our anniversary year with food, cultural items and recollections. The event will take place at the Ashley Kriel Hall, Community House, Salt River Road, Salt River. About 70 people from across the social and cultural spectrum will be in attendance.
We invite you, members of the media, to join us in the celebration and to provide coverage to this important event in the Cape Town calendar.
Please note that due to COVID regulations the event is not open to the general public and is by invitation only.
Please RSVP, to this email, by the 16th of March should you wish to attend.
Yours in culture,
Mansoor Jaffer,
Head of Operations, Cape Cultural Collective
