Dear friends, supporters, partners and members of the Cape Cultural Collective
We have decided to suspend all activities until the end of the Easter weekend, to support efforts at curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
The human rights anti-racism workshop and cultural concert that were scheduled for Elsies River on 21 March have been cancelled.
No Rosa choir and junior Rosa choir practices or CCC meetings will take place during this period. We will reassess the situation after the Easter Weekend.
We are developing systems through which we are able to educate each other, check on our members and make individual and collective contributions to the national effort to curb the virus.
We are currently using available technology to take forward elements of our work such as administration and resource mobilisation. Through video and voice clips, members of the Rosa choir will be able to practise music individually.
The virus is spreading as we speak. We want to amplify the calls for all citizens to take decisive and united action by supporting the guidelines shared widely by government, health authorities and civil society.
