AGM 2024: Mission Accomplished!
A seventh member Board was confirmed at the Annual General Meeting of the Cape Cultural Collective on Wednesday 30 October.
More than 60 people attended the meeting held at the Pinelands Bowling Club. It was a wonderful evening that demonstrated the steady growth of the organisation and that combined reports, entertainment, refreshments and great conversations.
The Board members are; Siviwe Minyi, Jill Levenberg, Dr Ncebakazi Mnukwana, Zenariah Barends, Luvuyo Kakaza, Dr Imam Rashied Omar and Brenda Skelenge. Six members were already serving and Ms Barends, a former chair, rejoined the Board.
One of the many highlights of the evening was the performance of 19-year-old Aphiwe Magodla, who has been learning guitar for the last few months in the CCC’s Musical Training and Development programme. He was accompanied by his teacher Godfrey Dyantyi.
The AGM re-committed the organisation to pursuing its vision and mission and strengthening its nine projects.
