Tickets go on sale for The Big Bash, 10th anniversary extravaganza of the Cape Cultural Collective
The line-up is finalised. The Director has begun his work. The Artscape Theatre is booked for 21 September at 8pm. And now the countdown to The Big Bash has begun, a production that celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Cape Cultural Collective.
Tickets, at R120 each, have just gone on sale through Computicket.
The production reflects on the development of the CCC from small steps in a local pub to a dynamic arts and culture platform in the City.
The show features comedy, powerful poetry, dazzling dance and an incredible array of musical performances.
Included in the line-up are top comedian Riaad Moosa, the legendary Dizu Plaatjies, the Young Men Malay choir, the Amazing Ernestine Deane and her band, the energetic Jazzart Dancers, a Flamenco guitar and dance troupe led by the veteran Bienyamien Camroodien, the magical Rosa Choir, the Cape Flats tenors and poets Ziqu Profound Ndabizetha, Tracey Heeger and Chris Ferndale.
The Director is Basil Appolis who has been responsible for several acclaimed productions over the years.
